Focus Un respects copyright and expects everyone who uses Focus Un to do the same. If you believe content on this website or in the Focus Un app or portal (such as a photo, voice note, message, exercise description, demo link, image or program) infringes a copyright you own, send a notice to our designated agent. We respond to notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512).

Takedown notices
A notice must include:
- your name, postal address, phone number and email;
- the copyrighted work you believe is infringed;
- where the material is, precisely enough for us to find it (for example, a page address or the name of a program or exercise);
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and
- your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name counts).
When we receive a complete notice, we disable access to the material promptly, tell the person who posted it, and send them a copy of the notice so they can respond.
Counter-notices
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice with: your name, address, phone number and email; the material that was removed and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the United States, any district where Focus Un may be found) and will accept service from the person who sent the notice; and your signature. We forward the counter-notice to the complainant and restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless they tell us they have filed a court action.
Repeat infringers
We keep a record of takedowns that result in content being disabled. We end the accounts of users who receive three such takedowns within 12 months, and may end an account sooner for clear or willful infringement.
False notices
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees. If you are unsure whether a use is infringing, consider getting legal advice first.
